Q: What is News?

A: News is also known as forums or bulletin board. News services are divided into newsgroups by topic. Each newsgroup contains messages posted by people on the general topic. New messages appear as they are posted, and old ones are "expired" (erased) to make room for new ones. The length of time a message remains in the newsgroup depends on how much activity the newsgroup generates and the ability of the news server to store the messages on their system. Each news server has it's own limits. Many online service providers around the world support News.
